The filling is a 50% wool and 50% siliconized fibre blend, not pure wool, and that's a deliberate combination rather than a shortcut. The wool half brings the natural breathability and warmth-balancing feel people reach for a wool pillow in the first place. The siliconized fibre half helps the pillow keep its shape day to day, making it noticeably easier to live with than an untreated, 100% wool one. Wrapped around that filling is a 100% cotton cover, woven to a 65 Tel, 165 thread count — a higher thread count means a smoother, more tightly woven fabric against your skin.

"Superwashed" describes a real treatment applied to the wool before it becomes a pillow, and it makes a genuine difference against untreated wool. It reduces the wool fibres' tendency to tangle and mat together (the cause of shrinking or stiffening after washing), and it's generally easier to wash — though the finished pillow's own care label still governs what's actually safe. Untreated wool, by comparison, is usually more limited, often hand-wash or spot-clean only, and needs more careful handling day to day.
